One of my 10 intentional habits for the new year is to eat more veggies. There’s always so much confusing diet advice being thrown around, and it’s even worse at the beginning of a new year. But there’s one thing everyone seems to agree on, and that’s to eat more veggies. You simply can’t go wrong with that formula!
For me, I’ve been wanting to add juicing consistently as one of my ways to eat more veggies. Obviously there’s differing opinions about juicing rather than just eating your veggies. But rather than getting caught up in all that, I just go with how I actually feel. And for me, (and Tyler) we both feel better when we’re drinking fresh vegetable juices. And there’s always a noticeable improvement in our skin. That’s all I need to tell me that I need to be juicing.
One of the pros about juicing is it strips away the natural fiber of the fruits and veggies, which in theory is supposed to make the vitamins and minerals easier to absorb. I’ve found this to be true for us, not by scientific proof or anything solid like that, just in how we feel, and the way our skin looks. We both start to get a ‘glow’ going on when we’re juicing, and specifically when we’re drinking this juice! I’m guessing that ‘glow’ has a lot to do with all the beauty vitamins in this juice, like the abundance of Vitamin A. It’s also been a great way for both of us to take advantage of the health benefits and super charged nutrition of beets. Neither one of us are a big fan of cooked beets, but we’ll both happily drink them in this juice, or even in smoothies like my Berry Beet Smoothie.
One of my favorite ways to cut the beet flavor back a bit, is to add a little ginger root. Ginger also has so many great properties, and it’s said to help with digestion and boost your immune system as well.

And I just wanted to add one final note about juicing with beets, be so careful because they will stain your hands, clothing, etc. If you’re concerned about your hands being discolored for a day or two, simply wear gloves while juicing. Beets have an incredible amount of natural color in them, and this juice simply glows with vibrance. No reviews
